We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service truck Mechanic to join our team. If you have a passion for maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, ensuring safety, and keeping operations running smoothly, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on logging equipment, including skidders, loaders, and trucks. (John Deere, CAT, Tigercat)
– Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify mechanical issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
– Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment meets safety standards and regulations.
– Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
– Collaborate with the Shop Forman and management team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
– Safely operate tools and equipment while following company safety protocols and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Service Mechanic or similar role, preferably in the logging industry.
– Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
– Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
– Proficient in welding and fabricating.
– Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
– Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions and rugged terrains.
– Must supply own tools (service truck Position)
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
– Must be able to pass a drug test.
